The Song of A Stole

The Song of A Stole

When you feel you need enchanting charm
Throw me casually over your arm.

And when for comfort you”d give up art,
Wrap me round your neck and heart.

When you’re old, about to freeze,
Tuck me round your toes and knees.

(This stole was made of soft cream colored linen by me and trimmed with delicate Italian lace taken from my graduation dress out of Junior High at Glen Jean to Mt. Hope High School. That I wore the stole for years is an understatement. It just wouldn’t wear out!)
