The Scarlet Thread

1) Open the Bible and follow The Thread.
It moves through all Scripture, so why not be led?
The color is Scarlet and God planned it so,
Reminding us ever of Calv’ry’s sweet flow.

The Scarlet Thread, weaving along, is singing a message,
“Redemption’s Song”!
“A way of escape “our Father has planned:
Take Jesus as Savior and then understand.
Then always remember the proof of His love,
And see from faith’s window His blood up above.

2) Red was the token when first it was bound.
That house on the wall soon a refuge was found.
Her family them gathered at Rahab’s quick call, –
Believing, obeying, came and safe from the fall.

3) Quick! Now escape from the world and its doom,
Ere shout of the Savior be heard through the gloom,
O fearful, come follow! You’ll surely be led
To heaven and home by The same Scarlet Thread.
