Learn from Jonah

Verse 1
I’m Jonah, yes, so turn your glance
On him God gave a second chance.
With sea weed wrapped about my head,
Inside the fish I made my bed,
I made my bed.

Out of the depths of my willful sin,
Thou didst hear “and my pray’r came into Thus.”
I cried below the angry sea
And God was there, forgiving me!
On sea or shore God’s answer holds!
On sea or shore His love enfolds!

Verse 2
A sign the Savior made of me
That He would rise, from death set free!
No other man God ever made
Can vouch like me that God can aid!
that God can aid!

Verse 3
Where in you fall, God hears you call;
And, thought it be in stormy sea,
Above the waves God answers thee.
Would not I know that it is so?
that it is so?
